The idea behind the site was a place where I could post my own stories. I love writing them and when I can get the time I still try to indulge myself. 

The site first appeared on Geocities, but was frequently closed due to their non adult site policy, even though Geocities was riddled with adult sites with more serious content than mine. There is still to this day a site on Geocities that provides a link to the site.

At first there were only my stories, along with a few favourites from the web. Then other authors came on board with their stories. Authors including Leviticus and Maria, Orion, GreyRose gladly lent their stories to me to post on the site. The site began to build and gain a following amongst other like-minded people, those that liked the same thing that I did and still do.

Jane's Guide did a piece on the website, shortly after this Geocities struck again, the site was gone again, I thought about giving up and many sites on geocities did just this when confronted by the 'geo-nazi's" as they became known as. After searching around for a new free host I found Dajungle, they offered the right amount of space - limitless, for the right price - free!

So the site had a new home and it settled in, expanding to include more stories and added galleries. Leviticus sent me his "Valley" stories, which was later followed by the rest of the series. Robert Deane from Deane Productions also sent his stories and his support for the site. Other authors included T.S Fesseln, Hazard, Jenny and Gladwrapguy. Jenny's stories in particular created a stir amongst the viewers of the site. There was the update when Jenny took over the site, and people wrote in saying just how much better the site was!!!

The site was then awarded the Signy "Best Bondage Free Site 2001" and came 8th in the Bondage Site Category. Bill Richards/Seether came onboard with images from his site, Shadowplayimaging, including Tobi and many girls in various forms of mummification and bondage. Mick & Dee sent me their images of Dee in selfbondage. Also Dan Dofogh, another Aussie sent me images from his site.

The site continued to grow, indeed it needed more space so more sites were made at Dajungle to take over the bondage section of the site. More authors came on board including Richard Alexander and his very popular Monica series, which is still continuing to this day. Studbound sent me many stories, along with GaggedUtopia, who went on to make his own site, sadly it no longer exists. 

There have been many authors who have sent me their stories, too many to mention here but I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone of them for their time and effort, their skill in writing the stories that people enjoy without thought of reward, just the hope that people will recognize their efforts with maybe an email to comment about their stories. So again thank you to all the authors, without you the site would not exist.

Things were going too well for the site, it kept expanding, I was never one to delete old content to replace it with newer stories or images. Dajungle decided with just two weeks notice to withdraw from providing webhosting, they announced this in a short email. How do you move such a large site in less then two weeks, then where do you find a host willing to provide the space for free. 

I have never intended for this site to become a paysite, it's not my wish to ever do this, indeed some of the authors whose stories grace this site would not wish their stories to appear on a paysite. So the search was on again for a new server. Space was offered by International Association of Rubberists (IAR) to host the latex stories, which was very generous but I still needed to find space for the rest of the site. I'd used Sextracker for their statistics before on the website, it helps to know which browsers, screen size etc that people use to view the site. They had their own free hosting service on Pornparks. It was the same deal as with Dajungle, but at least this was a large respectable company, who had been around a while.

So the site moved again, but unfortunately with Dajungle supposedly closing I was unable to post a re-direct page as i'd done in the past. Although Dajungle are still there and re-directing the traffic to their paid sites. But due to past experiences, the site can now easily be re-built without too much trouble. The site is divided into different sections, each one a website on it's own but linking to the main page. So now the site can be uploaded to any server, the links will work within each section and only the 'external' links to each piece have to be changed.

Dave Simpson form Inxesse.com then came along and offered all the space the site required, he'd seen all the trouble that the site had been through and wanted to help out. Dave even bought the grometsplaza.com address for me to use. So the move started again, with the Pornparks as a backup. The site moved onto a single server, it was much easier to use and even provided features that the free servers couldn't offer and the forum was born.

Dave even provided pictures to create more galleries, he'd previously sent me many pictures of Angel in selfbondage and bound, along with many other models. So the idea of sharing his web server was very welcome and the site moved into grometsplaza.com. Unfortunately neither Dave nor myself could foresee just how much bandwidth the site devours, remember Dave was paying for the site's bandwidth or it's usage by the viewers. This began to cost a lot of money and even at one stage used more bandwidth than their own site Inxesse.com.

So to save money and keep the site address active along with the forum, which at this stage had taken on a life of it's own, I decided to move the sections back onto the pornparks servers. They were still there as a back up so the move back was just a case of updating the stories. And that how it currently stands, with grometsplaza.com/main page on the Inxesse server whilst the rest is divided into sections on pornparks. Thanks to Dave and the guys at Inxesse for all their help.

Then just as things seemed to be going well, again the site was attacked, this time by a worm that attacked the server and deleted all files held their including the main page and the forum. Fortunately the main page was easy to restore and was, with a back up copy on pornparks. But the forum was deleted, time to start again, this time I decided to use a free host for the new forum and the rebuilding begins again...

Along the way the site has won more Signy awards, 2003 Best Bondage Free Website and 2004 Silver in Best Bondage Free Website. We've also lost authors who have passed away, Leviticus was sadly killed in a road accident and Maria who was his partner but died whilst carry their child.

Websites have also come and gone, many remembered fondly.

I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed to this site, authors, photographers, models and those that have taken the time to write emails to me or the authors, contribute to the forum or the yahoo groups. Again without you all this site would not exist.
