IFWF Match: Ginny McKay (39 y/o, 140#, 5'9") vs. Cari LaBruzzo (18 y/o, 115#, 5'6")
"Pomp and Circumstance" fills the arena as Cari LaBruzzo calmly walks to the ring in a hot
pink bikini and matching hot pink boots. She's accompanied by two of her Glamour Girl
stablemates, Aly Pinnick and the Dallas Cowgirl. Her reserved demeanor is mirrored by
most of the fans who aren't really into this match yet. Everyone's sitting on their hands and
pretty much ignoring Cari as she and her friends reach the ring.
This tough young girl grew up playing soccer, field hockey and basketball, but she really
made her mark in the old ECWF, rising to the top level. When it folded, Cari joined the
IFWF. Her finisher, "The Fall from Grace", a top turnbuckle DDT is one of the most
devastating in the business. So far, no one has gotten up from it!
As Cari and her stable wait in the ring, "Pretty Woman" signals the arrival of the zoftig red-
haired harridan of the IFWF, Ginny McKay. This pulchritudenously pretty, albeit nearing
40 year old, veteran of the ring wars is sporting a new look tonight, for only the second time
since return to the IFWF she's sporting a two-piece suit. It's not one of the skimpy ones like
she wore in her tag team match, just a regular "heavy duty" top and a bikini bottom. Despite
the "cover-up" she still looks ravishing as she makes her way to the ring beside her daughter
Sunny (who's limping after her match earlier.)
When the McKay's reach the ring, Ginny goes in through the ropes while Sunny, still
wearing her little bikini from her earlier match, waits outside. Sunny warily eyes Aly
Pinnick and The Dallas Cowgirl as she watches the referee give instructions to both
fighters. They shake hands and separate, heading back to their corners. So far, so good.
At the bell, both women spin out of their corners, circle and then lock up collar and elbow.
McKay uses her weight advantage to force Cari into the corner where the referee orders a
break. McKay steps back, but then BANG! She kicks Cari in the mid-section and the little
brunette folds like a busted flush! McKay hair hauls her out of the corner and flings her
halfway across the ring. Cari lands on her backside and bounces - twice! McKay goes after
her and tries to kick her in the back, but Cari rolls away and gets to the side of the ring
where she rolls out to catch a breath and collect her thoughts. Clearly, this match hasn't
started the way Cari and her stablemates had it planned!
Cari hops back up on the ring apron and McKay goes after her, reaching with her hands for
Cari's hair - but Cari ducks and slams her shoulder into McKay's belly, staggering the big
redhead. Cari holds the ropes and drives her shoulder into McKay's soft belly a second time
and McKay staggers back clutching her tummy. Cari's through the ropes and on the attack
now!
Cari LaBruzzo grabs Ginny McKay and throws on an armbar that brings a scream of protest
from the bigger woman as her arm is twisted like a pretzel by the fiery youngster. She kicks
McKay in the back of the leg and drops her to her knees - good move against the bigger and
stronger McKay. She keeps twisting that arm, working to weaken it and offset, at least
partially, McKay's advantage. But McKay is fighting back. She's straining, trying to use her
strength to force her way back up to her feet.
McKay finally makes it to her feet and kicks Cari in the knee. She loses her hold on
McKay's arm and McKay slugs her upside the head with her fist, bringing an immediate
warning from the referee and a cascade of disapproving boos from the crowd who seem to
be getting into the match now. McKay ignores the referee's warning and gets Cari by the
wrist, swings her around and . . .
Reversal! Cari turned it around and she was the one who flung McKay into the ropes!
McKay bounds off the ropes and right into a tremendous dropkick by Cari that flattens the
big woman. McKay's rolling around holding her big chest with both hands as Cari
scrambles up and uses a handful of McKay's short, red hair to pull her up. As McKay
struggles, Cari runs her across the ring holding her by the hair, then UGH! Big bulldog -
face first into the mat. That really shook the ring! The crowd is loving this.
While McKay gets groggily to her feet, Cari's climbing the ropes in the far corner, setting
herself and just as McKay gets to her feet she launches herself - missile dropkick! Again,
right to those two prominent bulges in the front of McKay's suit. She's sent sprawling on
her back by the perfectly executed maneuver by Cari LaBruzzo.
Cari scoops McKay up and powerslams! her to the mat. Surprisingly, the smaller woman is
the one doing the power moves so far in the match. She helps McKay up, guess it's 'help an
old lady across the ring week' in the IFWF, cause Cari whips McKay to the ropes and drops
her with a clothesline this time. McKay rolls out of the ring to get a break as she massages
her chest where Cari left a dark "LaBruise" on her once flawless, now showing a lot of
angry pink flesh.
McKay and her daughter have a quick conversation, then she returns to the ring where Cari
has been waiting patiently. They go to lock up but McKay rakes Cari's eyes and she staggers
back holding her face as McKay drives a knee to the pit of Cari's stomach. McKay rains
punch after punch down on Cari who is too busy ducking and trying to protect herself to hit
back. It's all McKay now! Just as I say that, Cari gets in close and sticks her thumb in
McKay's eye, stopping her assault in it's tracks. Cari ties McKay up and lands a few kicks
and punches of her own as the crowd cheers her on!
Big suplex by Cari! She's back in control of this fight now as McKay is reeling.
A running knee drop right to the softest part of McKay's middle leaves her gagging. I bet
she's seeing stars right about now!
Cari's getting her in position, setting her up for the old abdominal stretch. She's got her leg
locked and there's the arm. She's stretching the bigger woman as much as she can with the
height differential. . . tossing in a few chops, punches and even the occasional claw to that
wide expanse of belly as she puts McKay through the tortures of the dammed. McKay
eventually manages to work her way to the ropes and grab on, but Cari gives her belly an
elbow as she breaks the hold just to show her she's not the least bit intimidated by that big
redhead.
McKay's moving slowly around the ring now while Cari's still bouncing on her toes and full
of vigor. McKay goes for a tie-up, but Cari ducks away and lands still another big kick to
McKay's stomach. She's doubled over and here comes another high flying move from Cari.
She leaps, wraps her legs around McKay's head and takes her to the mat with a flying head
scissors. She's got it clamped tight as McKay is too winded to kick out. The referee slaps the
mat twice before McKay gets a shoulder up. That was close!
Cari holds the scissors until the referee decides it's a possible choke and orders a break. But
as soon as she releases it, she hauls McKay up, turns her around and ducks her head under
McKay's big body. Cari grabs McKay's suit at the hip and . . . up . . she . . goes! Vertical
suplex! And it was a good one. McKay's looking decidedly shopworn at this point.
Looks like Caris' setting her up for her finisher. She holds McKay's ankles apart, jumps
between them and lands with all her 115 pounds right on McKay's chest. It left the big
redhead breathless-ah! Cari hauls her up and backs her to the corner. It takes all her
strength, but eventually, Cari gets McKay up and sitting on the top turnbuckle. Looks like
this is going to be the end of this match.
Cari's getting her in position for the "Fall from Grace" her top turnbuckle DDT. NO!
Sunny McKay just grabbed a crutch from a kid in the front row and slammed it over Cari's
head from behind. She did a header off the top rope and landed face-first in the ring.
Sunny's trying go get her mother down off the top rope as Aly Pinnick and The Dallas
Cowgirl come running over to get at the woman who hit their stablemate with that lowly,
sneak attack.
Sunny starts swinging the crutch at the enraged Glamour Girls as she backs off but Aly and
The Cowgirl barge right in after her, swinging their fists as they bowl her over. All three
women go down in a heap, rolling around on the floor - the crowd is on their feet going
wild, all except for the poor kid who lost his crutch that is. The Dallas Cowgirl puts Sunny
in a full nelson and Aly Pinnick starts to punch her in the face, chest and stomach. Where's
security when you need 'em for goodness sake.
What's that . . . ?
The bell's ringing! The fight's been stopped! What? Why?
Look, up in the ring. Ginny's laying on top of Cari LaBruzzo and the referee's holding up
her hand. She pinned her?
I mean, she pinned her! While everyone was distracted by the antics outside the ring, Ginny
dove, or fell, off the top rope onto Cari and got the pin! What a disgrac. . .
I mean, what a great veteran move by that wily McKay. Just when it seemed she was out of
it, her daughter stepped in and saved her as... bacon. Aly Pinnick and The Dallas Cowgirl
still can't believe what happened! Pinnick gives Sunny McKay one final kick to the butt
before she and the Cowgirl climb in the ring to check on the condition of Cari. At the same
time, Ginny slides out under the ropes on the opposite side and she and her daughter head
for the locker room.
That's all for now, fans. But stay tuned, we'll be right back with the feature match of the
evening.
