Sunny McKay vs. P.J. Sparxx (boxing) - by Kim (from
wire service reports)
Hello everyone! This is Brenda "your star reporter"
Starr with the highlights of what had promised to be and indeed
turned out to be, another 'wild and woolly' fight from the infamous
"Tender Trap" in 'anything goes Amsterdam, Holland.'
Since the night a few weeks ago when wild PJ Sparxx
gave sexy Sunny McKay a surprise and unwelcome interruption during
her feature number, Sunny had been clamoring to get PJ in the
boxing ring. For those few of you who missed that story, I'll
just tell you that PJ came out and took over the stage. She pushed
Sunny around, flattened her on the floor and left her hogtied
with her own rope as Sunny's one-time fans carried her out in
triumph on their shoulders. The so called "wonder from down
under" could do nothing but squirm vainly between sobs since
PJ had shown her, and everyone else, just who the boss was from
start to finish. I've heard that since then, PJ's been rubbing
salt into the pretty blonde's wounds every chance she got.
We do know, for example, PJ's taken all the starring
roles Sunny used to get. It's left Sunny begging club manager,
Jeanna Fine, for another chance. Jeanna really knows how to twist
the knife too, putting on all sorts of 'but first' conditions
to keep Sunny off balance. But now it appears even a sadist like
Jeanna has her limits. At last, she's relented and is permitting
a fight.
"Fine!" said Fine finally, "... but
remember Sunny, be careful what you pray for, you just might get
it".
Sooooo, heeere we are... It's show time for the showdown.
I talked to Sunny shortly before the fight and asked
if she was getting worried now that it was time for her to get
back into a fight with PJ, a girl who (according to my confidential
source) out-danced, out-sexed and out-fought her the last time
that they were on the same stage.
Sunny had 'excuses' ready - pointing out that the
last time they faced each other she'd already done almost two
full shows before PJ arrived. Also, Sunny claimed that PJ ambushed
her and that she suffered from a stomach bug that had bitten her
earlier in the week. So, naturally, Sunny says she was no where
near her top form. She added that tonight would be another story,
that she'd been training and feeling good and clean.
Huuuummm, come to think of it 'clean' would be different
for that dirty little tart. Of course, when I pointed out that
she'd said the same thing about being 'trained and ready' right
before Heather Hunter knocked her out in the fourth round.
She seemed to blanch and then hurried off to her
dressing room without any response at all.
Coincidentally, that was just about the same time
that PJ came strutting out of her dressing room, smiling in her
usual cocky, self-assured fashion. PJ laughed when I asked if
she was worried that Sunny might be better trained in boxing and
could actually beat her this time. She told me she was going to
come out fast and put the 'heat' on Sunny right from the beginning,
that everyone better watch close 'cause it might be over fast.
That was right before they were called into to the
center of the ring.
Both had agreed to fight topless, wearing only their
g-strings and they stood close, their nipples almost touching,
each staring into the others eyes. The Dutch ref, read the instructions
and reminded them they'd agreed to fight eight rounds. If both
were still standing after that, the decision would be determined
by three judges seated at ringside. PJ smiled and jabbed Sunny
in the gut, saying something that caused Sunny to shove her away
with a sneer before she turned and headed to her corner.
*****
Round 1: PJ came out fast and furious, just as she
said she planned, throwing bombs and obviously looking to hurt
Sunny. McKay seemed surprised at first; she ducked and twisted
away, avoiding most, but not all and a few actually landing on
her back before she got her legs going and danced away. She stayed
out of range during the middle of the round as PJ continued to
flail away with both hands. Then Sunny, sensing that PJ didn't
have any real plan, started to move in close between PJ's big
bombs and she landed a rather good-looking jab often enough to
wipe the smug grin from Sparxx' face by the time the bell sounded
ending round one.
Between rounds: As they went to their corners, I
noticed that it was Sunny doing most of the smiling and PJ shook
her head in obvious frustration that she wasn't able to even hurt
Sunny. Sunny sat listening to her coach as she waited calmly for
the second.
****
Round 2 was like the end of the first all over again.
PJ coming forward constantly, swinging wildly with her right hand
and Sunny continued to make her pay. That 'automatic' jab of hers
kept finding PJ's right eye, and as the round wore on, it started
to swell. I saw a tickle of blood oozing out of her nose, too.
McKay was doing damage, but PJ didn't seem hurt, in part because
McKay was backing away as she fought although she clearly was
piling up points.
Between rounds: I could see PJ shaking her head again
and spitting, maybe some blood. Moving closer to get a better
idea, I could hear her coach telling her to settle down and cut
off the ring so that Sunny would have to stand still and fight.
She told her she needed to hit McKay a couple in her gut to slow
her down and that's what I was expecting to see when in the next
round.
*****
Round 3: That seemed to be what Sparxx wanted to
do as she came forward this time, not throwing those awkward bombs
but holding her gloves up, more cautious. But Sunny seemed to
have a plan for that too. She started moving more side-to-side
and following up her jab. It appeared that PJ was a bit better,
at first taking them on her gloves, but Sunny started landing
hard right hooks to PJ's ribs and PJ didn't seem to like that
at all. But by the middle of the round PJ was back leading with
her right, and that was catching Sunny, mainly on her shoulders
and upper arms. Toward the end of the round, Sunny seemed ready
to stop and trade with the bustier PJ and she busted her up too.
Sunny scored with a couple of quick upper cuts that PJ took on
her chin and buckled her knees. For the first time in the fight
PJ was backing up when the bell rang.
Between rounds: Sunny strutted back to her corner,
with her arms raised as her fans cheered. She was smiling, obviously
pleased and confident with her performance. PJ dropped heavily
to her stool, looking tired and discouraged, her ribs red and
her face looking 'bitchy'. They were yelling at her, but she just
seemed to shake her head and curse as she draped her arms heavily
over the middle rope.
*****
Round 4: They helped PJ up and pushed her out of
her corner as Sunny waited in the middle, gesturing PJ to come
to her, again. PJ hesitated, like she was wondering what to do,
then she moved out after the elusive blonde, who was up and dancing
on her toes, circling, flicking out a pretty sharp jab, like she
was doing a Muhammed Ali impersonation. PJ was obviously confused
by Sunny's speed and the movement and just stood there taking
punches. When PJ was able to get off a punch it looked desperate
and clumsy, and Sunny really made her pay a price. PJ's 'bomb'
would slip by and Sunny would step inside and nail PJ in the face,
causing sweat to fly off the bleached blonde's head as it snapped
back or to the side. Towards the late part of the round, Sunny
had PJ in a full and confused retreat. She just picked her openings
- face, stomach, and right at the last, smashing PJ' breasts.
The breast bashing really seemed to rattle Sparxx. After taking
a few of those she seemed relieved at hearing the bell, but she
wandered off towards the wrong corner with her gloves holding
her breasts
Between rounds: Sunny was really focused at this
point, throwing and landing way more than PJ who'd been totally
outclassed to this point of the fight. Clearly, Sunny had won
every round so far - and she knew it! She didn't even use her
stool between rounds, she looked eager to get started on PJ again.
*****
Round 5: saw PJ trying to come forward again, but
Sunny had everything working now. She'd hit PJ with about five
shots before PJ, discouraged, would back off try and reset and
then come back at her again, only to be stung even harder. Toward
the middle of the round, PJ charged in with her gloves up and
tried to tie McKay up with her arms. It seemed it would degenerate
into a wrestling match, it was starting to look really bad. Sparxx
would try to wrestle the slimmer McKay back against the ropes,
seemly desperate to make her stand still. Sunny for her part would
pound PJ's flanks and ribs till the ref came in and made 'em break.
I could tell Sunny was talking to PJ, but couldn't make out the
words over the crowd noise and the 'splat' of Sunny's gloves hitting
PJ's body. The ref had to pull PJ away as she tried to hit Sunny
after the bell. He shoved her towards a corner while Sunny smiled
and taunted her, enjoying the dishing out of revenge.
Between rounds: PJ could be seen pounding her gloves
together, looking tired and frustrated and with a questioning
look on her face like she was asking how many more of these painful
rounds was she going to have on endure. PJ's team seemed to have
to coax her to get up at the bell for the sixth round.
*****
Round 6: Sunny again was gesturing PJ to come forward
to get more of the punishment she was obviously enjoying inflicting
on her hated rival. PJ ambled awkwardly forward with her gloves
high looking almost frightened. As she closed in on the faster
blonde, Sunny was waiting with her gloves low, like she was winding
up to throw a 'bolo' punch. Sparxx' seemed to leap forward almost
ramming McKay with her head and Sunny flicked out a long right
that just missed. PJ seemed to turn away, almost like she was
flinching. But then she straightened up and, from somewhere, brought
a wickedly low right in that popped Sunny right in the her middle.
For the first time in several rounds McKay backed away, her mouth
open. PJ suddenly seemed to come back to life as she reloaded
that right and cracked Sunny in the jaw. McKay's mouth piece flew
out into the crowd and she staggered away, hands limp. She was
clearly hurt as she stumbled back and leaned against the ropes.
PJ was on top of her immediately, banging away at McKay's slender
waist three or four times and then a couple of more up-stairs.
McKay was trying desperately to block but with little success.
She was battered along the ropes into the corner. Weakly, she
tried to push PJ way, but it did little to stop the bombing as
PJ started to concentrate on Sunny's firm little chest, each punch
bringing a little grunt from the wounded blonde. PJ even continued
after the bell sounded. Sunny dropped to her knees and PJ smacked
the side of her so hard that it sent Sunny sprawled out on her
back on the mat where she stayed 'til her cornermen came and half
carried her back to her corner.
Between rounds: Panic reigned as they tried to get
Sunny ready for the seventh. They used at least three ammonia
capsules to get her alert and slapping her face as they talked
to her. Someone from her corner asked for more time, reasoning
that she deserved it since PJ had continued to hit her when she
was down - and after the bell, too! The pleading didn't seem to
do any good, but it seemed to delay the start of the seventh round
for a good thirty or forty seconds. Even then, Sunny had to be
coaxed up at the bell.
*****
Round 7: Maybe it was the adrenaline brought on by
fear, but Sunny looked to have her legs again and she used them
to keep her self away from PJ, who was stalking confidently now.
Sunny held her gloves together in front of her chin, almost as
if she were begging PJ not to hit her, but if so, it wasn't working.
PJ cut off her retreat and trapped Sunny on the ropes but Sunny
was able to tie PJ's hands up so all she could do was get in a
few thumping body shots before the ref would come and force a
break. Sunny would dance back and away and the chase would be
on again! This time when PJ got her in a corner she landed two
hooks and a hard uppercut to Sunny's breasts that really brought
tears to the eyes of the slender blonde before she leaned against
PJ, tying her up again. At the break, I heard PJ swearing and
hissing, "Fight me bitch!!!" but Sunny just shook her
head and ducked behind the ref, then ran away again. With time
winding down, PJ got in close again, but this time Sunny managed
a couple of jabs but PJ just walked right through them and pounded
a one-two to McKay's gut followed by a cracking uppercut that
dropped Sunny again. The bell rang with Sunny on her knees. She
fell face down when she tried to stand, then she fell again trying
to rise and had to be helped to her corner.
Between rounds: They were yelling at Sunny, "Just
hang on one more round. You're ahead on the cards." It looked
like she merely needed to finish on her feet to win the decision.
*****
Round 8: That seemed to have gotten through to McKay's
'shell shocked' brain, because she was defiantly stuck in survival
mode as she avoided, then wrestled with PJ as the final round
got underway. For her part, PJ was trying to finish McKay off
and it looked like she would if she could land one or two good
shots in a row. Those famously long, tanned and sinewy McKay dancers
legs now looked like they were shot themselves, threatening to
collapse every time she had to move very far. Surprisingly however,
what was working in Sunny's favor was that PJ seemed out of gas
herself. She was punching alright, but slower and with no power.
The crowd was on their feet, everyone cheering for their favorite
as the two weary battlers leaned in against each other, arms wrestling
to tie-up and punch at the same time, with little success at either.
Then in the final minute, from somewhere, Sunny managed to throw
a single punch that caught PJ flush on the chin. I could see the
shapelier boxer's legs lock and she staggered like she was about
to go. Surprisingly though, rather than take the opportunity to
finish, Sunny moved away, circling cautiously instead of going
for the knockout. Everyone was stunned. As the bell sounded to
end the fight boos rained down on the ring.
After: Following talk between the ref and the judges,
the decision came: Unanimous decision for Sunny McKay.
*****
There were plenty of whistles and catcalls from PJ's
fans at the announcement, and maybe Sunny's too for the way she
let the fight fizzle rather than going for a decisive finish but
McKay had shown everyone that she could out box Sparxx and that
she had the heart to keep fighting on even when badly hurt. She
fought smartly, if not popularly, going for the sure win rather
than trying for the more dramatic, but risky knockout. Sunny got
her revenge, although PJ made it a painful one. For her part,
Sparxx was rushed to the hospital, checked out and released. Her
spokesperson cited "simple exhaustion" and dismissed
the visit as "precautionary." In my opinion, PJ's boasting
about an easy and early victory only made her loss seem worse
than it really was but it'll probably just heighten the animosity
and, indeed the outright hatred, between these two proud, haughty
blondes. I talked to both women in separate interviews a few days
after the fight. Neither was willing to put their competition
behind them as you'll see from the following quotes.
SUNNY MCKAY INTERVIEW (Tuesday morning):
BS - So, now that you've had a few days to think
about it, are you satisfied with the results of your fight the
other night?
SM- Bloody Hell no, I'm not happy. I'm royally pissed
off if you must know. I wanted that cheap, job-stealing slut flat
on her back - a position she's intimately familiar with as you
know. But she finished on her feet and that's UN-acceptable.
BS - What are you going to do about it then?
SM- Uh, well. . . I really haven't thought about
that yet. But I don't feel like I paid her back for what she did
to me on stage that first night. And since then, well let's just
say her bitch friends Jeanna Fine and Zara Whites have helped
her make my run here a living hell. I can't wait to leave when
my contract is up after next weekends shows. (Then she hurriedly
left the room.)
PJ SPARXX INTERVIEW (Tuesday night):
BS - Alright PJ, you talked tough before the fight
but it looked like you couldn't back up your words when the time
came.
PJ - HA! You wish. That skinny skank whimpered every
time I slugged those pancakes she calls tits! I could feel her
bony chest through the gloves every time I hit her. Besides, from
what I've seen over the past few weeks, I bet she got off on the
pain. She's a kinky little broad for sure. This isn't over. She
says one word to me about that decision and she'll find herself
on her back with her flat ass in the air and me smacking it til
it glows. Just like the last time.
BS - So you're not going to let this thing between
you two drop? You sound like you enjoy tormenting her. Don't you
think stealing all her gigs is enough? What's this going to prove?
PJ - It's going to prove she's finished and that
I'm the one who put an end to her so-called career. You want to
see if she's afraid of me? Come to the club tonight and watch
our act. Jeanna's had us working together ever since that first
night when I came out on stage with her. When you see our act,
you won't have no doubt 'bout who's on "top" and who's
at the "bottom"!
