Release Techniques - Ice

Ice cube and string

Freeze a key to the a pair of handcuffs or other locking device in an icecube tray with a string running through the ice, but not the key. Attach the frozen icecube to a hook in the ceiling by the string. Apply the locking device to yourself or partner. When the ice melts, the key drops and freedom is near.

Big Block

Similar as above, freeze a key in a larger block of ice. Try a small margarine tub for starters. Put the block somewhere safe to melt (not near a drain the key can fall down!) Lock up what ever you got and wait for the ice to melt. Work up to larger blocks for longer times.

Ice cubes and a stocking

A more controled version of the Ice cube release. Attach a key ring (with keys) to a rope that is attached to you. Fill a stocking with ice and thread through the key ring. Attach the stocking to the cieling. When the ice melts the keys will fall and the rope will make sure they are within reach.
